How much waste is generated in Denmark? And how do we handle it? Total waste arisings in Denmark in 2003 amounted to almost13 million tonnes. For the registration of waste amounts and waste treatment, the Danish Environmental Protection Agency has established the ISAG - Danish Information System for Waste and Recycling. You can find statistical information on waste from different sources, waste types and fractions under the item Sources, types and fractions at your left. On the following pages, you can find the key figures from the Danish Environmental Protection Agency's Waste Statistics and a number of selected material streams. Please note that data presented should not be used in other contexts without paying respect to the preconditions given in the statistical reports.
